Medal of Military Valour

Military Valour Decorations are national honours awarded to recognize acts of valour, self-sacrifice or devotion to duty in the presence of the enemy. The Medal of Military Valour shall be awarded for an act of valour or devotion to duty in the presence of the enemy.

The following were awarded the M.M.V:

  • WO (then Sgt) D Bérubé – 2011 – “For courage and outstanding soldiering ability by repeatedly placing himself in exposed positions to coordinate fire support for his combat team during operations in Afghanistan, 29 May to 29 Jun 09”
  • MBdr AD Holmes – 2012 – “For tremendous courage and continuous composure while coordinating exceptional fire support during a four-day combat operation in Afghanistan , 30 Jul to 2 Aug 10”
